  1. Excellent Shearing Quintet at about it's height of ability and performance. Interestingly, as I re-listen to this - my LP had been lost for several years - the comparison to the George Shearing style of that era compares quite favorably to the George Shearing of the s, although much of his approach to the music of both eras was musically top-notch/5(9).

  2. "Sunrise Serenade" is a jazz song written by Frankie Carle with lyrics by Jack Lawrence. It was first recorded in by Glen Gray and the Casa Loma Orchestra with Carle on piano as Decca It soon became Carle's signature piece.
